Good Morning America Posts Smallest Weekly Demo Gap Season to Date with 'The Today Show'

Good Morning AmericaFor the week of December 28th, ABC’s “Good Morning America” averaged 3.87 million Total Viewers and a 1.3/10 among Adults 25-54.

“GMA” cut into “Today’s” Adult 25-54 week-to-week lead by 7%, the smallest weekly demo gap season to date.

Compared to a year ago, “GMA” extended its viewing advantages over “Early Show” by 7% among Total Viewers.

Please note: “Good Morning America” anchors Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Sam Champion and Juju Chang were all off. Due to the New Years holiday, all three morning newscasts were excluded from the average on Thursday 12/31 (New Years Eve) & Friday 1/1 (New Year Day). The weekly average for all three networks is based on three days (Monday-Wednesday).

Jim Murphy is the senior executive producer and Tom Cibrowski is the executive producer of ABC’s “Good Morning America.” The Emmy Award-winning morning news program airs live Monday through Friday from 7:00-9:00 a.m. ET on the ABC Television Network.
