BBC Worldwide today announces the appointment of Sharon Baylay as a non-executive director.
Sharon Baylay has been the BBC's Director of Marketing, Communications and Audiences since May 2009 and is a member of the BBC Executive Board.
Robert Webb, Chairman of BBC Worldwide, said: "The Board is pleased to welcome Sharon as a non-executive director on the Board of BBC Worldwide.
She brings extensive understanding of marketing and communications, along with wide experience of international markets. The Board looks forward to her contribution to the development of BBC Worldwide."

Prior to joining the BBC in May 2009, Sharon Baylay was General Manager of Microsoft Online Services Division UK.
She joined Microsoft in 1993, and held a range of management and marketing roles in EMEA, Asia-Pacific, Greater China and the Americas.
