The BBC Chinese website, bbcchinese.com will be hosting an exclusive interview session with President Ma of Taiwan on Wednesday 2 June, 2010 from the Presidential Palace in Taipei. For the first time since his inauguration in May 2008, President Ma will be taking questions raised by Chinese audiences around the world.
Hosted in Mandarin by Raymond Li, Head of BBC Chinese, the interview will cover wide-ranging topics relating to the cross-strait relations between Taipei and Beijing, Taiwan's latest developments, as well as new foreign policies.

The fact that the interview will be taking place just after the second anniversary of his Presidency makes it even more interesting and significant to the audience too."
Radio highlights will then be broadcast on BBC World Service on Wednesday 2 June, 2010 at 1405-1450 GMT, frequency: kHz 6095 (49), 7420 (41), 9605 (31), 15285 (19).
