Jeremy Bowen is the BBC's Middle East Editor. He was appointed in August 2005 and is based in London. Before that Jeremy was the Rome Correspondent for BBC Television News.

Since becoming Middle East Editor he has, among other things, led the coverage of the 2006 war between Israel and Lebanon, for which BBC News was awarded an International Emmy. He won a first prize at the Bayeux War Correspondent Awards for a Panorama film on the Gaza War of 2009.

He is remembered for Breakfast (also BBC One) which he presented for two years from its launch in October 2000 before taking a short break to work on a book about the Middle East.

Since 13 February 2006 Robert Peston has been the BBC’s business editor.

The move into broadcasting was a big one for Robert, because for the previous 24 years he’d been a print journalist. His previous roles have included financial editor of the Financial Times, political editor of the FT and city editor of the Sunday Telegraph.

He shot to fame throught the financial crisis of the late 2000's exclusively breaking many of the stories that have shaped the economic landscape for years to come, including the Northern Rock collapse, and the RBS, and HBOS liquitidy problems and ultimate part nationalisation.

Stephanie Flanders became the BBC's Economics Editor in April 2008, with intellectual responsibility for all of the BBC's economics output on radio, television and online.

She has been leading the BBC's coverage of the deepest global and national economic recession since the Thirties, including dramatic set piece events such as the the G20 Summits in London and Pittsburgh.

As part of this work, she has made regular appearances on BBC World and BBC World Service and World News Americs, as well as the main UK outlets and a widely-read blog, Stephanomics.
