Bloomberg television covered the news of the impending departure of troubled BP CEO Tony Hayward, and BP's staggering quarterly losses, with extensive live global news coverage and updates. Bloomberg's extensive coverage began early on Monday morning when shows airing from London started to cover the story, which had initially broken on Sunday night. 

Bloomberg's US coverage went into high gear with "InBusiness with Margaret Brennan" broadcast live on both Monday and Tuesday from outside BP's world headquarters, in St. James' Sqaure, central London, with Brennan discussing the fate of tony Hayward, his successor and BP's record losses.

Bloomberg's "Street Smart" anchor Matt Miller was live from Houston outside the company's U.S. headquarters and Washington D.C. correspondent Lizzie O'Leary was live once more New Orleans, spending her seventh week in the Gulf since the disaster happened.
