Dominic Chu on Why he's not a Pessimist

Bloomberg Television's Dominic Chu is the subject of an interview with Entrepreneur Limited's 'Here is the City' website.

Chu joined Bloomberg Television this year and is a markets reporter based in New York.  He hosts a daily segment called 'Under the Radar'. Here is some of the questions posed by 'Here is the City';

Q - How long have you been in the industry, and what is your current job title ?

I am currently a Markets Reporter at Bloomberg Television, and have been in the news media for about 8 months now. Prior to that, I worked in a number of different roles across the financial services industry... back office to front office, sell-side to buy-side, currencies to equities.

Q - Are you by nature a pessimist or an optimist ?

That's a funny question, because I come into the news world at a time where there is no shortage of negative news. So at times, people claim that I am a pessimist because it seems as though I often report on bad news... but, in reality, I am a true optimist... always have been and always will be...
