Linda Yueh is an economics correspondent for Bloomberg Television. Based in London, Yueh covers breaking news stories and provides expert commentary and insight into business, political and macroeconomic trends taking place around the world. She joined Bloomberg Television in September 2010.
An internationally-recognized economist, speaker, author and business advisor, Yueh is a fellow in economics at Oxford University in the UK. She is also an associate of The London School of Economics and Political Science's Centre for Economic Performance and the IDEAS: International Affairs, Diplomacy & Strategy research centre.
Prior to joining Bloomberg Television, Yueh served as a contributor for BBC Two, where she provided expert commentary and analysis of the U.K general election and budget process for BBC programming, including BBC.com, BBC Radio and BBC Two's "Money Watch" program. Yueh also contributed to BBC One's "World Business Report." Earlier, Yueh was a contributor to ITV, providing economic analysis of the UK budget. Yueh also covered the G-20 Summit in London for Channel 4 News in the U.K. and has provided expert economic commentary for CNBC and CNN, as well as written for London's The Guardian.
In her role as an economist, Yueh has taught courses at Oxford University and the London Business School. She previously worked as an international corporate lawyer with the New York-based law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.
Yueh served as a special advisor to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos and currently sits on the WEF's Global Agenda Council on Energy Security. In addition, she has been a consultant and expert advisor for a number of international organizations and governments.
Yueh earned her PhD (DPhil) in economics from Oxford University.
