Zeb Eckert

Zeb Eckert is a Hong Kong-based reporter for Bloomberg Television.

Eckert covers Asia-Pacific business, economic and foreign affairs news for Bloomberg Television.

Eckert, who joined Bloomberg in 2007, has covered numerous international events including the G-20 Meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in Busan, South Korea, where he interviewed central bankers and finance ministers during the height of the European debt crisis. In 2010, Eckert covered the aftermath of anti-government protests in Bangkok, Thailand and reported from the front-lines of the North Korea conflict at the Demilitarized Zone in Panmunjom, South Korea.

Before transferring to Hong Kong in March 2009, Eckert served as a New York-based producer for Bloomberg Television.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Eckert covered local news as an on-air reporter for Cablevision's 24-hour News 12 Networks in New York City. He also worked as a New York-based business producer for NHK, Japan's public broadcaster. Eckert began his career at WNBC-TV, NBC Universal's flagship television station in New York.

Eckert graduated with honors from George Washington University in Washington, DC. He was born and raised in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
