Canada's CBC to Launch New Business Show

CBC Newsworld has announced that it will launch a new business show this autumn, airing at 4:30pm local time every weekday, just after the markets close, covering the day's top business news and events.  Amanda Lang, who has presented programmes such as 'squeeze play' and 'the commodities report' on the Business News Network, and also had stints at CNN in New York, and as a journalist at the Financial Post, and Globe and Mail, will front the new programme. 

Jennifer McGuire, CBC News general manager and editor in chief, announced Lang's appointment Tuesday.   She also announced that Lang will contribute business coverage for 'The National'.
