Squawk Box Europe Presenters Hone Golf Skills in Studio

Earlier this week, to co-incide with Europe's victory in the Ryder Cup, CNBC's Squawk Box Europe ran a successful competition giving away a network branded Callaway Putter.

CNBC only had one of the putter's which was acquired from the US, and was given away to a viewer who could accurately predict the S&P 500 closing price on the evening of Tuesday 5th October.

In true Squawk Box form, presenters Geoff Cutmore and Steve Sedgwick both took to the floor space in London's Fleet Place studio's to show off the exclusive putter, and of course, their putting skills.

A green 'putting surface' had been laid and the video newswall displayed a 'golf course' type backdrop, giving the feel of a not-so-serious, boys-will-be-boys type segment to the show.

On top of their game, and right on par, both Cutmore and Sedgwick managed to putt on their first attempt into the makeshift 'hole' on the studio floor.

The segment will have invoked the memories of long-time Squawk Box Europe viewers, when camaraderie between the presenters was a normal part of the morning ritual.  It was definately a pleasure to see the antics of Cutmore and his team on-screen once again!  One thing is for sure though, one lucky CNBC viewer will be showing off a new Callaway putter at the golf club this weekend...
