CNBC today unveiled its new look business day programming in Europe alongside a major upgrade of its London studios.

While each of the business programmes remain, each has renewed emphasis on a particular aspect of the business day.

CNBC‟s flagship programme, Squawk Box with its influential guests and analysis, will use all aspects of the new studio and enhanced tools and graphics. All of CNBC‟s business day programmes will use multiple areas of the studio, which includes one of the largest video walls in Europe (click here).

Squawk Box will kick off at 6.00am (UK time) with its new „Overnight Indicator‟ which will give viewers a snapshot of key benchmarks showing how the asset classes have faired overnight.

CNBC believes that for those watching and working the markets, this 6.00am Overnight Indicator will be essential viewing as they set up for the day.

John Casey, Vice President of International News & Programming, CNBC, said, “This is an exciting new element of our programming. It captures everything in the world that matters to the markets. It will collate US and Asia market data as well as how currencies and commodities are trading.”

Another new visual element to CNBC‟s business day is the introduction of the CNBC Globe and Heat Map, which are set to become signature features of the network.

The CNBC Globe allows the broadcaster to visually represent real-time data from exchanges around the world. Casey continued, “It‟s a tool which helps visualise the health of the global markets, good or bad.

“Our new Heat Map, which will be used throughout the day, gives traders a real-time look at the state of the Stoxx® Europe 600, highlighting in one visual how all the stocks are performing and instantly showing market sentiment. Our presenters can then drill down as to how each sector and stock is performing.”
