Piers Morgan has finally confirmed that he is in talks with CNN as a possible replacement for the outgoing Larry King. The coveted 9pm talk slot, which will be vacated this autumn, is one of the most prized slots in the newschannel daily schedule.
The NY Times' Brian Stelter writes;
Piers Morgan broke his silence about his impending job at CNN on Sunday, saying in a red carpet interview at the Emmys that negotiations are almost finished.
Piers MorganMr. Morgan has been in talks with CNN this summer about replacing Larry King, who is ending “Larry King Live” this fall after 25 years in the 9 p.m. time slot. He has been coy about the CNN job until now, telling reporters in July that “there is nothing I can say” about it.
