CNN's Fareed Zakira Interviews Colonel Gadhafi

CNN's Fareed Zakira has interviewed Libyan leader Colonel Moammar Gadhafi for this Sunday's GPS to air at 1pm ET.  In the interview, Zakira questions Gadhafi on the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 over the Scottish town of Lockerbie, and his meeting with some of the families of the victims this week in New York.  He also discusses the death of his daughter, who was killed by American raids in 1986.

Here's a small segment of the show which will air on Sunday;

FAREED ZAKARIA, HOST, FAREED ZAKARIA GPS: I gather from your aides that you have met with the victims of the Lockerbie bombing. Tell me about that.

MOAMMAR GADHAFI, LIBYAN LEADER: Yes I met some of them yesterday. It was a friendly meeting and encounter. I offered my condolences for the relatives who lost them. They also express their condolences for my daughter who was killed in the American raid in 86.

ZAKARIA: The 1986 raid?

GADHAFI: Yes. It was very sentimental and very touched, the meetings.

ZAKARIA: So you understand the grief of these people?

GADHAFI: It is a tragedy. It is a catastrophe.

ZAKARIA: And do you regret any possible role that officials in the Libyan government might have played?

GADHAFI: No one will support an action like that, will not be touched and moved by such an action like that. Whether it is Lockerbie or whether it is the 86 raid against Libya, we are all families are the victims because resorting to violence, because as a result of violence as the result of terror, terror in all its forms is a common enemy to all of us.
