Megyn Kelly's new show on Fox News begins this week airing for two hours a day, featuring breaking news and interviews with key newsmakers from around the world.  In addition to breaking news coverage, the show will also feature Kelly's signature programming block 'Kelly's Court' showcasing the former trial lawyer's legal skills, covering cases currently on-going across the US.

The Examiner's Jim Kouri writes;

Since coming to FNC, Kelly brings her legal training and experience as an attorney to the top-rated FNC lineup. Kelly's new show -- America Live with Megyn Kelly -- will move popular afternoon host Martha MacCallum  to the 9-11AM ET time slot, where she will join anchor Bill Hemmer.
 
Among her achievements in law and journalism is Kelly's reporting on the rape charges against the Duke University lacrosse players. She broke new details in the case that ultimately helped exonerate the defendants.

Aside from anchoring a new two-hour program, she will continue to appear as a regular guest on The O’Reilly Factor every Thursday evening during her branded legal segment, “The Kelly File.”

Brian Stelter of the New York Times also profiles Kelly's new show, he writes;

But there is no concealing the rise of Ms. Kelly, a 39-year-old lawyer who is becoming a solo anchor for the first time. She seems to be progressing through Fox’s star-making machinery, which has turned news anchors like Shepard Smith into household names.

Ms. Kelly appears weekly on Mr. O’Reilly’s opinion program, often putting her legal background to use. Inside the News Corporation, the owner of Fox, Ms. Kelly has been mentioned as a leading candidate for a prime-time anchor job. Fox’s contract with Greta Van Susteren, the longtime 10 p.m. anchor, is up at the end of the year.
