Jon Stewart, the host of the satirical daily news roundup 'The Daily Show' is to appear on the hard hitting, 'no-spin zone' that is the O'Reilly Factor on the Fox News Channel this week. In an interview which will be aired over two nights, Wednesday and Thursday, Fox News acknowledges the significant interest that surrounds it. It is normally the other way round, with news and opinion hosts appearing on 'The Daily Show', and not generally having a great time. Fox says in a press release that “the wide-ranging interview will touch on an array of topics, including President Obama, the political landscape and media bias.”
In his only previous appearance on “The O’Reilly Factor,” in 2004, Mr. Stewart was promoting a new book, “America (The Book): A Citizen’s Guide to Democracy Inaction.”
“You know what’s really frightening? You actually have an influence on this presidential election,” Mr. O’Reilly said in that conversation with Mr. Stewart. “You got stoned slackers watching your dopey show every night, O.K., and they can vote. You can’t stop them!”
