Launched in March 2009, the mobile application France 24 LIVE available for all smartphones (including the iPhone) thanks to the video distribution platform (VDS) MOBICLIP, today surpassed one million downloads.  France 24 was the first television station in the world available live in 3 languages on all these devices, regardless of the model and operator.

Nearly 80% of downloads of the application are from outside France: Europe accounts for 50% of downloads, Africa 20%, North America 15% and Asia almost 15%.

To mark the occasion, the application France 24 will be enriched by new programs on demand: the Press Review, the Observers, Technophile and Reports.

France 24 continues to put new technologies at the heart of its development strategy and was, for example, the first international news channel available live on the iPad.
