LaToya Jackson Tells GMTV - Michael Was Murdered For His Catalogue

Michael Jackson’s sister, LaToya, has spoken exclusively to GMTV ahead of the anniversary of her brother’s death, telling the breakfast TV programme – ‘Michael was murdered for his catalogue’.

One year on from the superstar’s death, Michael’s older sister told GMTV, ‘It was not an accident. Michael was murdered for his catalogue.’ She continued, ‘They knew Michael was much more, worth so much more dead than alive.’

Speaking of the singer’s health, LaToya commented, ‘Michael did not have a good bill of health. He had always been thin, but Michael was not well.’ She added, ‘When you embraced him and hugged him - he was all bones.’

In the second part of GMTV’s exclusive interview, to be shown tomorrow (Friday), LaToya will reveal that she never believed Michael would be able to fulfil the schedule for the ‘This Is It’ concert.

Speaking to Ross Kelly she said, ‘When we first heard that… when my Father first called me and said “Michael’s rushed to the hospital, get over there” – my first thought, my initial thought was oh no, did Michael do something to pretend like he’s sick so he can get out of this – that’s what I thought – that’s what several members of the family thought.’

Although having never watched any of the rehearsal footage from Michael’s 50 date concert, LaToya admitted that she finds the documentary clips hard to believe. ‘That vigorous work – if you saw Michael, he didn’t have the energy really to walk around and do the things that you and I were doing.’

LaToya continued, ‘That tape… the little pieces…I have never seen This Is It.. but you know if you’re watching the news on the TV you’ll see something very quickly… that energy that was mustered up – that was put together for him – it makes him look great – that was not the Michael.’

Defending the family’s efforts to help Michael, LaToya revealed, ‘The people that surrounded Michael kept us away. They didn’t want us around. We had got to the point where we would climb over the gate, jump the gate and everybody would just start running towards the doors…  there’s so much that you guys don’t know that we would do.’

Speaking about them starting school this year, she tells Ross, ‘It’s a territory that is very foreign to them – they have never been amongst other children in school’.
