Rentrak Corporation (Nasdaq: RENT), the leader in multi-screen media measurement serving the advertising and entertainment industries, today announced a long term agreement with Trinity Broadcasting Network, which includes TBN, the world's largest religious network and America's most watched and requested faith channel, to utilize Rentrak's TV Essentials service as a strategic tool to track network viewership across its collection of faith based networks.
This agreement with Trinity Broadcast Network marks the eighth, faith-based network to contract with Rentrak. Highly targeted networks such as those serving the faith-based community value the depth of audience viewing pattern data available through Rentrak's second-by-second database currency.
"As America's most-watched faith channel, TBN is excited to work with Rentrak to better understand our audience. Gaining access to the largest database of detailed TV viewing information from cable, satellite and Telco TV provides a transparent view of all of our networks and allows us to better manage programming, promotions and ministry costs effectively," said Paul Crouch Jr., TBN's chief of staff.
The network's flagship channel, TBN, offers 24 hours of inspirational programming designed to appeal to people in a wide variety of Protestant, Catholic and Messianic Jewish denominations. In addition to TBN, the network owns and operates seven networks, including the Church Channel, JCTV youth network, TBN Enlace USA Spanish language network, and Smile of a Child children's network.
"To have Trinity Broadcasting, the largest faith channel, tapping TV Essentials to better serve their audience is a tremendous acknowledgement of the granular insights that set-top box data provides," said Carol Hinnant, senior vice president of National Network Sales, Advanced Media and Information (AMI) division at Rentrak.
