Meghan McCain stopped by NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday Night to tell all about her view of Sarah Palin.
While there to promote her new book 'Dirty Sexy Politics,' McCain revealed to Leno what she really thought about Sarah Palin, who was the Vice Presidential running mate of her father, Senator John McCain, during his 2008 Presidential campaign.
McCain explained what happened when she found out about the nomination. “An hour before I went on stage with her. I think they were scared I would say something or whatever. Like the rest of the country, I had no idea who she was and I was actually crying on the bus on the way to the rally.”
McCain continued: “And then I found out who she was, and I remember being on stage and distinctly thinking, 'God, let her not have any skeletons in the closet. Please God.' And if you see any video footage of it, I looked panicked.”
When asked what her initial reaction was to the news she said, “My initial reaction was, 'Who the hell is Sarah Palin?' Like everybody else.”
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno is from Big Dog Productions in association with Universal Media Studios. Debbie Vickers is the executive producer.
