This Thursday, December 8th, 580 CFRA will host the 61st Annual Christmas Cheer Broadcast in downtown Ottawa.
The Christmas Cheer Broadcast begins with a sold-out breakfast in the ballroom of the Westin Hotel, with over 100 local community and corporate organizations taking part, before shifting to the Rideau Centre.
The all-day fundraising broadcast features guest appearances from a wide array of notable members of the local community, including Mayor Jim Watson, Ottawa 67’s owner Jeff Hunt, and many members of the Bell Media broadcast family.
The day culminates at 6 p.m. ET with the cash total announcement live on 580 CFRA.
“This is one of the most important days of the year for three local community organizations,” said Richard Gray, Vice-President and General Manager, CTV Two and Bell Media Radio. “The generosity provided by the corporate community and by our listeners on Thursday will do so much to help those in need over this holiday season and throughout the year. We are grateful for all the support.”
Beneficiaries of the day include the Christmas Cheer Foundation, Christmas Exchange Program and Ottawa Food Bank.
