BBC Radio Ulster/ Foyle remains the most listened to radio station in Northern Ireland with an average weekly audience of 513,000 listeners tuning in each week – according to the latest RAJAR (Radio Joint Audio Research) figures for Quarter Four, 2011.
These latest RAJAR figures show a slight decrease of 11,000 listeners to the station year on year (with 524,000 listeners in Quarter Four, 2010) and 25,000 listeners quarter on quarter (with 538,000 listeners in Quarter Three, 2011).
BBC Radio Foyle, meanwhile, has an average weekly audience of 32,000 listeners. This figure shows an increase of 3,000 listeners year on year (with 29,000 listeners in Quarter Four, 2010) and is consistent quarter on quarter (with 31,000 listeners in Quarter Three, 2011).
