Clear Channel Radio Los Angeles Uses Creativity to Aid Haiti Earthquake Victims

ClearChannel RadioTicket giveaways are a big way for a radio station to attract listeners.  KIIS-FM in Los Angeles recently took a break from listener “giveaways” at auctioned tickets to top entertainment events to raise money for earthquake victims in Haiti.  Tickets up for auction included admission to the Black Eyed Peas, Mariah Carey Coachella (featuring Jay-Z), Bamboozle Music Festival and Ryan Seacrest’s personal American Idol tickets.

In addition, the LA radio group’s AM stations, AM 570 KLAC and KTLK, donated air time to direct listeners to make donations via mobile texting.
