107.5 WBLS has joined forces with the World Vision organization and this Friday, January 29th, WBLS’s morning man, Steve Harvey, will take to the mic starting at 6am for a radiothon to raise funds for the relief efforts for Haiti earthquake victims.
Steve will be asking listeners for pledges for their dedications and requests, and listeners will be able to pledge directly to World Vision by calling 866-798-HOPE or by logging on to WBLS.com. Special guests on the “Radio-thon” include R&B great Keith Sweat, WBLS’s new Quiet Storm host from 7pm-12midnight, Grammy Award winning CeCe Winans and Bishop Hezekiah Walker. Updates from Haiti’s capitol of Port Au Prince will be broadcast via satellite phones from World Vision’s crew in Haiti.
Kicking things off this Thursday from 3pm-7pm will be Jeff Foxx, who will feature updates from WBLS Caribbean Fever host Dahved Levy, who has been actively involved in NYC’s Haitian Community’s efforts to locate family and friends affected by the earthquake.
