Thirty-two Clear Channel stations nationwide will hold local radiothons between February 11th and 12th to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, one of the world's premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
At St. Jude, families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance, and no child is ever denied treatment because of the family's inability to pay.
St. Jude been actively involved in radiothon fundraising for more than 30 years. With the dedication of hundreds of radio stations participating in Country Cares for St. Jude Kids® and Radio Cares for St. Jude Kids™, more than $375 million has been raised to help children battling cancer and other deadly diseases at St. Jude.
Like most organizations, St. Jude has not been immune to the effects of the economy. Now more than ever, St. Jude needs the support of radio listeners to continue its mission of finding cures and saving children.
In 2009, these 32 Clear Channel stations collectively raised more than $4 million for the lifesaving mission of St. Jude.
