RT has been nominated in two categories at the Broadcast digital awards 2010 award ceremony. RT's Spanish channel has been nominated in the Best Channel Launch category, reaching the finals of the competition.
RT's Spanish channel started broadcasting around the clock in December 2009.
Its news programmes are aired in the morning and at evening prime time in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Mexico, Buenos Aires and Madrid.
RT's story "Berlin Wall: 20 years later" has become the second RT finalist at the Broadcast Digital Awards 2010. The work tackles the consequences of German reunification after the fall of the Berlin Wall - the main symbol of the Cold War - that had separated Germany for 28 years. The video has been nominated in the category Best News or Current Affairs Content together with BBC Three, Sky News and Bloomberg Television.
