RT, the Russian English-language news channel has added 7 million viewers to its potential audience in Europe, by launching its 24/7 broadcast on the largest cable networks in France and Belgium.

In France, RT began broadcasting through Numericable, the largest cable television provider in the country with a reach of over 3.6 million viewers.

In Belgium, RT launched on Telenet, one of the country's largest cable television operators with an audience of approx. 3.5 million in the Brussels and Flemish regions.

RT broadcasts 24/7 from Moscow and from its studio in Washington. The channel is also available at RT.COM. In 2010, RT became the first Russian TV channel to make the finals of the prestigious Emmy International Television Awards of the International Academy of Television in the News category.

Synovate research has found that in six European countries alone, including Germany, France and Italy, more than 7 million viewers watch RT. In the UK, according to Kantar Media, RT's audience is more than 2 million which significantly exceeds that of other international news channels, such as France 24, Germany's Deutsche Welle, and China's CCTV.

For instance, RT's monthly audience exceeds that of Deutsche Welle more than 5 times. On YouTube, RT has received the most prestigious rating, TOP 100 most viewed channels in the history of international video hosting, with over 250 million YouTube views.
